Payouts
How Grand Cup payouts work depends on what you earned.
Outlaw bounties (on-demand)
Where the current Grand Cup includes Outlaw bounties, bounty earnings are added to your dashboard automatically. You can request the bounty payout on demand â no need to wait for the tournament to end.
Placement prizes (end of tournament)
Placement prize money is paid out after the competition concludes â not on demand. This covers all prizes tied to your final position in the leaderboard or bracket.
Grand Cup Live (Finals)
Where a Grand Cup includes a LIVE Grand Finals stage, those accounts are real funded accounts. The $50,000 initial simulated starting balance is not withdrawable â only the profits you earn during the Finals are payable, at the 80% trader / 20% Tradeify split. The standard 90/10 Sim Funded split does not apply to Grand Cup.
How to request a payout
When earnings are payable, request the payout from your Tradeify dashboard. You'll complete KYC (Tradeify identity verification plus Rise verification) before your first payout. Funds are sent via Rise (primary) or Plane (alternative).
Key Rules

â Knockout format eliminates 30% of field each day during second week

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What happens if I breach my account?
A: During Week 1, you can reset your account up to 3 times. Each reset costs $35. After Week 1, no resets are available.
Q: How do I reset my Grand Cup account?
A: Go to your Grand Cup dashboard and click the 'Reset' button.
Q: Is there a DLL (Daily Loss Limit)?
A: No. There is no Daily Loss Limit. The account uses a Trailing Drawdown calculated at End of Day.
Q: Does the Trailing Drawdown ever stop trailing?
A: Yes. During the Knockout Round, once your EOD balance reaches $52,500, the trailing drawdown permanently locks at your starting balance ($50,000) and stops trailing.
Q: Can I enter multiple times?
A: No. Each person can only have one account.
Q: Do I need to pay for the LIVE account in the Grand Finals?
A: No. If you make it to the Top 200, you get your LIVE account for free.
Q: What broker(s) am I allowed to use?
A: You can only use Tradovate Prop. You can also use it through NinjaTrader or TradingView (via Tradovate addon).
Q: Do I need to pay for live data?
A: No, top of book (level 1) data will be provided free of charge.
Q: Which contracts can I trade?
A: This competition is CME contracts only. See the full list of allowed instruments above.
Q: Is there a monthly subscription fee?
A: No. Grand Cup Accounts are a one time fee.
Q: I have 5 funded accounts, can I participate in the competition?
A: Yes. This competition account is entirely separate from our Evaluation and Funded accounts.
Q: Can I keep my Grand Cup Competition account after the competition ends?
A: No. The evaluation phase accounts will be closed permanently.
Q: Can I keep my LIVE account after the competition ends?
A: Yes. Live accounts will remain active after the competition. You'll keep 80% of profits made during the competition, and you can continue trading on the account afterward.
Q: How can I track my progress on my competition account?
A: Your account will have its own card on your Tradeify dashboard.
Q: How can I check the current rankings?
A: Rankings will be updated daily on the leaderboard page.
Q: How are rankings determined?
A: Rankings are based on total profit generated during the competition period.
Q: Do I need to trade every day during the competition?
A: No. But remember, only the top 200 people move on to the LIVE stage.
Q: What are the trading hours?
A: You may trade during both Regular Trading Hours (RTH) and Extended Trading Hours (ETH) for all allowed CME contracts.
Q: Can I group trade my competition account with my regular accounts?
A: Yes, group trading is allowed. However, competition accounts operate under different rules than regular Evaluation and Sim Funded accounts, so review the competition guidelines carefully.
Q: Will I have different Tradovate Prop login credentials for my competition account?
A: No, you will use the same Tradovate Prop credentials on the top of your dashboard.
Q: Which instruments/products am I allowed to trade?
A: You can trade products from CME only. See the full list of allowed instruments above.
Q: I achieved top 200, what do I need to do next?
A: You'll get an email with instructions on next steps.
Q: Can I withdraw from the competition?
A: Yes, but entry fees are non-refundable.
Q: How do I pick my trading/user name?
A: You will be able to pick your name when the competition starts.
Q: What happens if I am not eligible for a Live trading Account?
A: Live trading account eligibility depends on your location and compliance with regulatory requirements (note: The broker approves 95%+ of all applications, so most traders will be eligible). However, if you qualify for the top 200 but cannot receive a live account, you will not advance to the Grand Finals, regardless of whether you ranked 1st, 10th, or 200th. In all cases, you'll receive the 200th place prize of $500, and the next eligible trader below you will advance in your place.
Q: I'm already a Live Trader with Tradeify. Can I still participate in the Grand Cup?
A: Yes. However, since you cannot have both Sim and Live data enabled simultaneously, your existing Live account will be temporarily paused during the Knockout Round (while you trade on the simulated competition account). Please contact your Risk Manager before registering to confirm this process and ensure a smooth transition.
Q: I have a regular Sim Funded account. What happens if I make the top 200?
A: Your Sim Funded account will be temporarily paused during the Grand Finals so you can trade your Live competition account. You cannot have both Sim and Live data enabled simultaneously. Your Sim account will remain paused until the Grand Finals end.
Q: Why was I charged $1 for my free entry?
A: The $1 charge you're seeing is a temporary authorization hold that our payment processor places on your card to verify it's valid. This is standard practice and the $1 will be automatically refunded within 3-5 business days (often sooner, depending on your bank). This is not an entry fee for the Grand Cupâit's simply a card verification step. Your Grand Cup entry remains free as an active account holder.
Q: I have accounts with Tradeify, why am I being charged $35 for entry?
A: You must have at least one ACTIVE (not failed) account. Please contact support if you meet this requirement and are still unable to enter for free.
Q: Will the leaderboard show my real name?
A: No. Traders will only be identified by their chosen username.
Q: I can't log into my Tradovate account - it tells me I do not have access.
A: If you have no active accounts and purchased your entry for $35, you will need to wait for your account to be provisioned when the competition begins. If you would like to practice on the Tradovate platform before the competition begins, you can open a personal trial account at trader.tradovate.com/register
Q: Can I change my Username (the one that's shown on the leaderboard)?
A: Yes. Submit a support ticket and we will change it for you.
Q: The competition started but my account is not active.
A: It is active. You will use your same Tradovate credentials to access it. You can see the account from your Grand Cup dashboard.
Q: My Grand Cup balance is not updating after opening a position, while other leaderboard members' balances are updating normally.
A: The leader board is showing REALIZED profits. Close your trade and you should see it update.
Q: Can I open 1 mini and 5 micros?
A: The Grand Cup position limit is a single allocation cap â a maximum of 2 mini contracts OR 10 micro contracts across all exchanges combined. Any combination of the two counts toward that same cap. This is a competition position limit, not a hedging rule. Exceeding it will result in account failure and require you to purchase a reset.
Q: Can I open 2 mini contracts on each exchange?
A: No. You may have a maximum of 2 mini contracts OR 10 micro contracts across all exchanges combined, not per exchange. You cannot combine these limits (i.e., you cannot trade 2 minis AND 10 micros simultaneously). Exceeding these limits will result in account failure and require you to purchase a reset.
