  • Desktop web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)

  • Stable internet connection for real-time synchronization

Important Notes

  • Free add-on: TradingView integration is free for all Tradeify users

  • Integration works through Web browsers and App

  • The free version of TradingView will only update once every 5 seconds, for fully live updates you will need to be a TradingView subscriber (any package will suffice)

  • Third-Party Platform: TradingView is a third-party software platform. Any issues caused by TradingView's API, connectivity problems, or platform malfunctions are beyond Tradeify's support scope. We cannot repair or adjust accounts affected by third-party software issues.

Step-by-Step Setup Process

Step 1: Enable TradingView Add-on in Tradovate

  1. Log into Tradovate at trader.tradovate.com

Use your Tradeify-provided Tradovate credentials. Select "Demo" or "Simulation" environment.

  2. Access Application Settings

Click the three lines (hamburger menu) in the top-right corner. Select "Application Settings".

  3. Activate TradingView Add-on

Find "Add-On Tools" section. Locate "TradingView Add-On". Click "Activate TradingView Add-On". Confirm activation when prompted.

You should see a confirmation message that the TradingView add-on is now active.

Step 2: Set Up TradingView Account

  1. Visit TradingView at tradingview.com or open the TradingView App

  2. Create or log into your account

If new: Sign up for a free TradingView account. If existing: Log in with your credentials.

  3. Navigate to a chart

Search for your preferred trading instrument (e.g., "ES1!", "NQ1!"). Open a chart for that instrument.

Step 3: Connect TradingView to Tradovate

  1. Open the Trading Panel

Look for the "Trading Panel" tab at the bottom of the chart. Click to open the Broker selection panel.

  2. Select Tradovate

In the Trading Panel, look for broker options. Click on the Tradovate logo. Select "Connect" next to Tradovate.

  3. Choose connection type

Select "Demo" (this is correct for Tradeify accounts).

  4. Enter your credentials

Enter the credentials located at the top of your Tradeify dashboard (same as you would use to Log into Tradovate).

Important: Always select "Demo" for Tradeify accounts.

Step 4: Verify Connection

  1. Check connection status

Look for a green connection indicator in the Trading Panel. Your account balance should appear. Available instruments should populate.

  2. Test data synchronization

Charts should display real-time or near-real-time price data. Order entry fields should be active. Account information should match your Tradovate dashboard.

Best Practices

Keep Tradovate open:

  • Maintain Tradovate in a separate browser tab

  • You cannot check and monitor your drawdown effectively in TradingView

Monitor latency:

  • TradingView integration may have slight delays

  • For time-sensitive trades, consider using Tradovate directly

  • Test execution speed during different market conditions

Data verification:

  • Cross-check important price levels between platforms

  • Verify order fills in both TradingView and Tradovate

  • Report any synchronization issues immediately

Risk Management Integration

Tradeify rules enforcement:

  • All Tradeify trading rules apply to TradingView trades

  • Risk parameters are enforced through Tradovate

  • Daily loss limits and consistency rules remain active

Position monitoring:

  • Track positions in both platforms

  • Use Tradovate's risk dashboard for comprehensive monitoring

  • Set up alerts for approaching risk limits

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need a paid TradingView subscription for real-time market data?

A: Free TradingView accounts receive data updates approximately every 5 seconds (near-real-time). For true real-time data with instant updates, you need any paid TradingView subscription. TradingView's Essential plan starts at $12.95/month. Note: The Tradovate integration itself is free - the TradingView subscription only affects chart data update speed.

Q: What's the difference between free and paid TradingView for trading?

A: Free TradingView provides data updates every ~5 seconds, limited indicators, and fewer features. Paid TradingView (Essential $12.95/mo and up) provides true real-time data, more indicators, and multiple charts. For scalping or fast-moving markets, paid subscriptions are recommended. For longer holds, free may be sufficient.
