Module Management
Modules can be added, moved, and removed from your workspace in the Tradovate Web version. Since the Tradovate Web Trader operates within a single browser tab, modules can be easily resized and grouped using tabs, allowing for streamlined and organized workspace management.
Adding New Modules
To add new modules to your workspace, click the + (New) button located at the top left of the screen within your browser.
Then simply drag and drop your selected module to any location within your workspace to add it.
Tip: In the Tradovate Desktop app, a unique feature allows you to open a module in its own window by clicking on its name instead of dragging and dropping it. This keeps it separate from the main workspace window on your monitor.
Moving Modules Around Your Workspace
To move a module within your Tradovate Web workspace, click on the module's tab at the top and drag it to the desired area within your browser window.
When you click and hold the tab, highlighted areas with a plus sign (+) will appear as you move it around the screen, indicating where you can move the module within your workspace.
You can also click and drag modules to create new tabs within the same module window, allowing for more organized workspace customization.
Resizing Modules
Modules can be quickly resized by clicking and dragging the horizontal (X) and vertical (Y) borders between them.
You can also temporarily fill the entire screen with a specific tab by clicking the Maximize button located near the top right of each module. Click the button again to return the module back to its original sizing.
Tip: Pressing the F11 key (or Fn + F11, depending on your computer setup) toggles Tradovate Web into full-screen mode, letting you make full use of your monitor's available space.
Removing Modules
To remove a module or tab from your workspace, simply click the X located at the top right of the module or next to the tab's name.
Linking Modules
Tradovate users can link platform modules—such as the Market Analyzer, DOM, Chart, and Tick Stream—by assigning matching colors in the dropdown next to the Instrument's name in the tab at the top of each module. This guide uses red and green links as examples, but up to six colors can be used. Gray indicates that linking is disabled for a module.
When selecting a quote in the Red quote list, the upper left-hand Chart and DOM modules which are Red will all be updated with the newly selected symbol in the Market Analyzer.
When selecting a quote in the Green Market Analyzer, the Chart in the lower right-hand side, which is Green will be updated with the newly selected symbol.
Please note that everything is linked to the Quote Board and that instruments you select in that list initiate the changes to your other modules. Linking a Chart and a DOM without linking the Market Analyzer will not create a link.
Instrument Selector & Finding Contracts
The Instrument Selector is a combined dropdown menu and search bar used to search for and select the Instrument displayed in all market data and order entry modules within the Tradovate Web App.
Search Bar
The Search Bar at the top of the Tradovate Web App—next to the Notification Ticker (Clock)—lets you search for any instrument in the database using a symbol, keyword, or contract month.
By default, the Search Box displays Recent Searches and Popular Instruments before you type anything. Left-clicking on any search result will open it in a new Quote Info module.
Hovering over any search result opens an additional menu, allowing you to launch that specific instrument or contract in a new Quote Info, Alerts, or Trade module.
You can also click and drag the Instrument into a new SuperDOM, Chart, Market Analyzer, or T&S (Time & Sales) module.
Searching In Modules
In addition to using the Search Bar, you can also search for and select new Instruments when opening nearly any market data or order entry module in the Tradovate Web App. Additionally, you can search in the SuperDOM, Chart, Order Ticket, and other Modules. Simply type the name or symbol of the instrument for a list of available contracts to populate a drop-down menu.
To change Instruments within a module, simply left-click the instrument name in the tab at the top-left—the search dropdown will then appear.
The Instrument Selector is available on all of the following modules:
Market Analyzer
Chart
SuperDOM
Order Ticket
T&S (Time & Sales)
Spread Matrix
Options Chain
Privacy Mode
Privacy Mode allows you to hide your account number(s) and balances from display while using the Tradovate Web App. This is useful for streamers and content creators who want to share their screen without revealing account details.
If your account number and balance are not visible on the Tradovate Web platform, it's likely because Privacy Mode has been enabled.
How to Toggle Privacy Mode On/Off
To toggle Privacy Mode:
After logging into the Tradovate Web App, click the Application Settings button in the top-right corner of the screen
On the Settings page, select the Security & Privacy tab at the top
Privacy Mode will be listed below - toggle it on or off
Log out and back into the Tradovate Web App for the changes to take effect
After logging back in, your account number and balance will be absent from the top bar of the screen.
