Level Up - FAQ

Level Up FAQ: 10-level ladder, fresh $50,000 sim balance each level, $80 per attempt, 5 lifetime attempts, static drawdown, Level 3/5 checkpoints, payouts up to $35,000, Tradovate only.

1. Getting started

What is Level Up?

Level Up is a 10-level trading ladder. Every level starts you on a fresh $50,000 simulated balance. Hit the level's profit target and you advance; touch the drawdown floor and the run is over - unless you're standing on a checkpoint.

Clear all 10 levels and you pick up Legend status, having collected up to $35,000 in gross payouts along the way.

Level Up is a standalone trading product on Tradovate. It is not part of the Gems Center / Rewards Center, and its levels have nothing to do with Gems Center XP levels.

What is the maximum position size I can trade?

2 minis (or the equivalent 20 micros) at every level of Level Up - this limit doesn't scale up as you progress through the ladder, unlike some other account types.

How many attempts do I get?

Five. That's a lifetime maximum per person - not 5 per year, not 5 per promotional drop, and not 5 "active" attempts at once. Once you've used all 5, Level Up is done for your account. Your remaining attempt count is always visible on your dashboard.

Do I need to be identity-verified (KYC) to buy Level Up?

Yes. KYC verification is required before you can complete a Level Up purchase. If your identity verification isn't approved yet, checkout will be blocked or held until it is.

Can I use a coupon or discount code?

No. Coupons aren't accepted on Level Up purchases or checkpoint resets, under any circumstances. This is a limited-edition, one-price product.

Which trading platform does Level Up run on?

Tradovate, exclusively. Level Up is not available on Rithmic or Wealthcharts. Your Tradovate login is issued as soon as your purchase (and KYC) is complete.

How much does it cost, and what do I get?

One Level Up attempt costs $80. That's it - there's no activation fee and no ongoing subscription cost. Your attempt gives you one run at the ladder, starting at Level 1 with $50,000 and the parameters shown in the ladder table below.

2. The ladder

Every level opens at $50,000. Profit doesn't carry over between levels — each one is judged on its own target and its own floor.

What happens to my profit when I pass a level?

It doesn't carry forward. Example: you pass Level 1 at a $51,500 balance. Level 2 doesn't start at $51,500 - it starts back at a clean $50,000, with Level 2's own target and drawdown floor applied.

How do I move to the next level after I pass?

Hitting a level's pass number registers the pass in real time - you don't need to wait for end of day for it to count. From there, it works like any other passed evaluation: you'll need to activate the next level from your dashboard before you can start trading on it. Once activated, you're trading on a fresh $50,000 balance.

Is there a time limit or a minimum number of trading days?

There's no minimum number of trading days required to progress on your Level Up account. However, our inactivity rule applies the same. You need to place a trade at least once per week to keep your account from being flagged as Idle.

Is there a daily loss limit?

No. Level Up has no daily loss limit at any level. The only thing that ends a level is touching its static drawdown floor (see Drawdown, below).

Is there a consistency requirement?

No. Hit the pass number and you advance, whether that came from one big day or ten small ones.

3. Drawdown

What is the static drawdown, and how does it work?

Each level sets a fixed floor below its $50,000 starting balance. Drop to or below that floor and the level fails immediately. On Level 1 the floor is $49,000 ($1,000 static drawdown from the $50,000 start)

Static means the floor is fixed at the level's starting balance minus the drawdown amount - it never moves, no matter how high your balance climbs during the level.

Does the drawdown amount change from level to level?

Yes - it scales as you climb the ladder. It isn't one flat number for the whole run:

  • $1,000 on Levels 1, 2, 9 and 10

  • $1,250 on Levels 3, 4, 6 and 8

  • $1,500 on Levels 5 and 7

Check the ladder table above for the exact fail-at balance on every level.

Can the drawdown floor move up as my balance grows?

No. Unlike a trailing drawdown, a static floor never trails your profit upward within a level. It's set once, at the level's start, and stays there until you pass, fail, or use a checkpoint.

4. Checkpoints

What is a checkpoint?

Levels 3 and 5 are checkpoint levels. If you breach the drawdown floor on either one, you'll be offered the option to pay a fee and reset that level from the start - instead of losing the whole run.

How do the Level 3 and Level 5 checkpoints work?

The moment you breach the floor on a checkpoint level, the offer appears.

  • Level 3: pay $150 to reset back to the start of Level 3 ($50,000, same target and floor).

  • Level 5: pay $299 to reset back to the start of Level 5.

You get one checkpoint reset per level, per run. Using the Level 3 checkpoint has no effect on whether the Level 5 checkpoint is still available later in the same run (they're independent).

Does taking a checkpoint use up one of my 5 attempts?

No. A checkpoint reset is separate from your attempt count entirely: only a fully ended run (a breach on a non-checkpoint level) consumes an attempt.

Can I use a checkpoint more than once on the same level?

No. Each run gets one Level 3 checkpoint and one Level 5 checkpoint. If you breach that same level again after already using its checkpoint, no second offer is made - the run ends and an attempt is consumed.

Is there a time limit for me to use my reset?

Yes. Since your purchase date, you have only 30 days to use your resets on checkpoints. For example: if you fail an account today, you won’t be able to reset it in 40 days from now.

5. Payouts

When do I become eligible for a payout?

The moment you hit the pass number on a payout level (Levels 2, 4, 6, 8, 9 and 10), you advance to the next level right away and a payout request is created for that level.

Is my payout approved automatically?

Your payout request is queued and processed at end of day (after 6:00 PM ET), and it's still subject to the same review process used on any other payout request - it isn't approved automatically. You don't have to wait for that review to keep going: you can continue trading and progressing through the ladder while a payout is pending.

How much do I actually receive?

The amounts in the ladder table are gross. Payouts follow the standard 90/10 split, so you receive 90% of the figure shown. For example, Level 9's $10,000 gross payout pays out $9,000 to you.

What's the process, and how long does it take?

Level Up payouts run through the same pipeline as every other payout on the platform: level completed → payout available → payout request submitted → KYC → admin review → approval → payment. There's no automatic payout at any level - every single one goes through admin approval first.

What happens if I fail the payout review?

If you fail the verification (the same process used on any other payout request), the payout is denied and your account is disabled, just like any other account - regardless of your current level or how many payout requests you have pending. For example: your Level 2 and Level 4 payout requests are pending, and you've since reached Level 5. If end-of-day review finds a violation, all pending payouts are denied, your Level Up account is disabled, and the run ends.

Is there a maximum I can earn from Level Up?

Yes - clearing the full ladder (Levels 2 through 10) earns up to $35,000 in gross payouts across a single run, plus Legend status for completing Level 10.

6. Trading rules that still apply

Level Up drops the daily loss limit, minimum days, consistency rule and microscalping - but hedging rule is still enforced.

Is hedging rule still enforced?

Yes. Even though Level Up removes most of the usual restrictions, the hedging rule both still apply on every level. Your compliance status shows as pending while you're trading, since hedging is only fully checked at end of day; if that end-of-day check finds a violation at any level, the account is breached and any pending payouts are denied.

How do I know if I'm compliant?

Your dashboard shows a hedging compliance indicator throughout the day, but since hedging is only fully checked at end of day, it will show as pending while you're trading. It updates to a compliant or 'hedging detected' flagged status once the end-of-day check runs.

Quick summary: no daily loss limit, no time limit, no minimum trading days, no consistency requirement, no microscalping. Hedging rules remain in force.

7. Accounts & limits

Can I run more than one Level Up attempt at the same time?

No. You can only have one active Level Up run at a time. Once that run ends (by failing, being fully exhausted) you can start a new one if you still have attempts remaining and Level Up is still available for sale.

The sale has ended out and I still have 4 attempts left, can I use them?

Once Level Up is sold out you won’t be able to buy more, regardless of how many attempts left you have on your account.

Does Level Up count against my funded account limit?

No. Level Up runs alongside your regular funded accounts without using up one of those slots. You can hold your full funded account limit and one active Level Up run at the same time.

What happens if I breach without a checkpoint available?

The run ends, the account is closed, and one of your 5 lifetime attempts is consumed. To try again, you'll need to purchase a new attempt (if any remain) and start back at Level 1.

What happens once I've used all 5 attempts?

Level Up becomes permanently unavailable on your account, regardless of how those 5 attempts played out.
