Rules: News Trading

News trading is allowed with no restrictions. Covers slippage risk, why not to use the Daily Loss Limit as a stop loss, and the funded-account microscalping rule.

Our Policy

We do not have any rules against or guidelines around trading news events.

Free reign, but beware of volatility and how it can affect your account.

Important Warnings

  • You trade news AT YOUR OWN RISK.

  • Beware of slippage - Orders may execute far from expected prices

  • NEVER use the Daily Loss Limit as a stop loss - System protection may not be effective during extreme volatility

News events can cause rapid price movements, wider spreads, and unpredictable market behavior that may impact your trading results.

Keep in mind the Microscalping rule on funded accounts: over 50% of your trades must be longer than 10 seconds AND over 50% of your profit must come from trades held longer than 10 seconds. It does not apply during an evaluation.

If you do not meet the criteria, you will not be able to request a payout.
